Hailakandi, July 17: Dhalibeel Rural Development Youth Organisation (DRDYO) lifted the Avinash Chandra Dutta Trophy league football title of Ramkrishna Nagar Sports Association in Karimganj district yesterday.

DRDYO defeated Tribal Club by a solitary goal, scored by Abu Khayer in the 65th minute. DRDYO finished with 17 points while Youngmen Athletic Club were the runners-up with 15 points.

The league phase of the Lakhipur subdivision B Division football league was completed yesterday. The date of the knockout phase has not yet been announced.

In the last league match yesterday, Mongolian Club defeated Meghdoot Club 7-1.

Modi Hmar alone scored five goals while David Hmar and Maraki Hmar scored one each. Gopal Goud returned the only salvo for Meghdoot.
