Jamshedpur, July 10: A Noida-based firm has been awarded the work order for implementing the Jharkhand State Electricity Board?s (JSEB) ambitious Accelerated Power Development Reform Programme (APDRP) in the Singhbhum Area Board.
Sources in JSEB headquarters in Ranchi said the decision to award the work order to Noida-based Subhas Project Marketing Private Limited was taken at a high-level meeting held in Ranchi recently.
APDRP is a central government-sponsored project aimed at ensuring quality power supply to consumers. It involves revamping the entire power infrastructure to help stop undesirable power disruption.
In the initial phase, JSEB would spent about Rs 43 crore for power infrastructure development and improvement of the distribution network at Jamshedpur, Adityapur and Ghatshila.
In the next phase, the programme will be extended to Chaibasa, Chakradharpur, Seraikela-Kharsawan and other important townships under the jurisdiction of Singhbhum area board. Work has already begun at the Hill View Colony in Mango, which is likely to be completed at the end of September.
