Korba coalfield funds

New Delhi, July 5: The government today cleared two open cast expansion projects worth Rs 3,359.60 crore for the Korba coalfield. The cabinet committee on economic affairs, chaired by Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, approved the expansion of Dipka and Gevra open cast mines of South Eastern Coalfields Ltd.

Siemens order

New Delhi, July 5: Siemens today said it has bagged an over euro 400 million (Rs 2,100 crore) order from Torrent Power Generation to set up an 1100-mw power plant in Gujarat.

New Delhi, July 5: ITC subsidiary Russell Credit Ltd has completed acquiring 3.85 crore shares of Wimco Ltd. Following this, Wimco has become a wholly-owned subsidiary of Russell Credit.
