Dear friends, this week, I have a plethora of mathematical terms for you. It is a website called www.amathsdictionaryforkids.com. As the name suggests, it is a site primarily for beginners, but senior school students would also find it useful.

The site is rich with maths definitions, examples, quizzes and activities. It is alphabetically arranged ? just like a dictionary ? with a list of maths terms for each letter. When you choose a term, it appears in a box on the right, along with animated and graphic examples or activities to make you understand the concept. It is a very colourful and attractive website with an impressive collection of more than 300 mathematical terms from junior to senior school level. But you?ll need a Flash player to view it in all its glory. Alternatively, use a Netscape browser. Have fun!
