Film fest
Screening of inaugural film
Hy?nes (Hyenas)
at Au Sud Du Cin?ma, presented by Kolkata Film Festival, French Embassy, French Association and Nandan, at Nandan III, 6.30 pm.
In camera
Vertical format photographs by Colette Mazabrard on display at Seagull Arts and Media Resource Centre, 2 pm to 7 pm.
Exhibition
An exhibition on the life and works of V. Balsara, organised by Calcutta United Cultural Society, at Gaganendra Pradarshashala, 3 pm to 8 pm. An exhibition of T-shirts made by crafts people and women?s groups at Artisana, 13, Chowringhee Terrace, 11 am to 7 pm.
Theatre
Bhabam Cholechhe Juddhey will be staged by Sanglap Kolkata at Academy of Fine Arts, 6.30 pm.
Soiree
A programme of Tagore songs and recitation at Rabindra Sadan, 6 pm.
Dance
A Bharatanatyam recital by Dwaipayan Das at Swabhumi, 6 pm.
Art watch
Summer exhibition, featuring works by eminent artists, at CIMA Gallery, 2 pm to 7 pm. An exhibition of paintings on Lord Ganesha crafted by Anukul Daspoddar and Subhasis Paul, hosted by Shreyans Art Group, at Sicka Palace, 23, Asutosh Chowdhury Avenue, noon to 10 pm. Recent paintings by Ramprasad De, Sakti Karmakar, Rajib Bhattacharjee, Parthapratim Saha and Ranadip Das on view at Academy of Fine Arts, New South Gallery, 3 pm to 8 pm.
