Patel issues warning
Mumbai, June 21: With more low-cost airlines joining the fare-war, civil aviation minister Praful Patel today issued a word of caution for them. ?There is a word of caution because we are not yet fully matured in the aviation market. Carrier sizes are not that big and all do not have a deep-pocket,? he said. Meanwhile, the empowered group of ministers will discuss modernisation plans of Delhi and Mumbai airports tomorrow.
Drug prices
New Delhi, June 21: The National Pharmaceutical Pricing Authority has revised prices of scheduled bulk drugs ranitidine HCL, nalidixic acid, erythromycin and its derivatives, naproxen/naproxen sodium and norfloxacin under the provisions of the Drug Price Control Order, 1995.
MTNL net dips
New Delhi, June 21: MTNL?s net profit has dropped 18.38 per cent in 2004-05 to Rs 938.97 crore. However, the company has recommended a 45 per cent dividend.
AIDS drug
New Delhi, June 21: Ranbaxy and Aurobindo Pharma have received a tentative approval from the US Food and Drug Administration for anti-retro viral drug Nevirapine. This drug is used for treatment of AIDS.
PSU banks
New Delhi, June 21: The finance ministry will set targets for PSU banks on 11 financial parameters and six qualitative aspects in an agreement, which banks would have to sign by the month-end.
