London: Sourav Ganguly finally got down to some action for Glamorgan against Middlesex in the County Championship tie on Friday.
The regular Team India captain was unbeaten on 56 as Glamorgan reached 176 for three in their second innings at stumps on the third day. Middlesex declared on 435 for 4 in reply to Glamorgans 584 for 3 declared.
Sourav, who came in at No.5, hit six fours during his 82-ball stay at the wicket.
Elsewhere, Harbhajan Singh came up with a fine performance to help Surrey win by an innings and 55 runs against Hampshire.
Harbhajan claimed six for 36 at the Rose Bowl as the hosts were bowled out for a paltry 146 on Thursday. Following on, Hampshire ended their second essay on 160, Harbhajan claiming two for 47. Mohammed Akram took five for 41 in the second innings while John Crawley top scored with 67 for Hampshire.
Dinesh Mongia made 36 for Leicestershire in their second innings against Worcestershire. (agencies)
