New Delhi: Shikha Uberoi’s dream of making it to the main draw of the Wimbledon women’s singles event was shattered on Wednesday when she bowed out in the second qualifying round.

The US-based girl, who plays for India in the Fed Cup, went down 4-6, 5-7 to Ukraine’s Victoria Kutuzova, according to information received here. Shikha had beaten South African Natalia Grandin 6-3, 6-2 in the first round. (PTI)
