Maoist claim

Kathmandu, May 27: Nepalís Maoist leader Prachanda today said he had sent senior colleagues Baburam Bhattarai and Krishna Bahadur Mahara to Delhi to gauge the Indian leadershipís views about their movement.

Pushpa Kamal Dahal, better known as Prachanda, said in a statement that the two leaders met Indian politicians, reported in The Telegraph on May 21.

The previous day the Royal Nepal Army had played out an audio tape in which a man, identified as Prachanda, tells his supporters that Delhi had called him for talks.
