My weekend

In the modelling profession there?s no concept of a weekend as such. In fact, more often than not, we usually end up walking the ramp at fashion shows over Saturday and Sunday and it is hectic. But on a brighter note, a working day for most people is usually a day off for us. So often in between the week, I get an off day, which I spend chilling out with friends.

I love going window-shopping, which usually translates into shopping because I just can?t resist splurging. Some people love hanging out at malls. For me, unless it?s foreign brands, I prefer shopping at Janpath and Sarojini Nagar because the fits are not very good at malls. Otherwise, I spend a quiet day at home. Since my parents are based in Calcutta, my friends are my family here. I cook for them and spend the evening catching up on the latest movies. You probably wouldn?t find me partying hard at night. I am definitely not your in-the-face party animal, but yes, I love dancing.

Recently when I got a much-needed break from work, I headed to Goa with my friends. What I love about Goa is its beaches and relaxed atmosphere. Moreover, at this time of the year, it is not crowded unlike the year-end when it?s jampacked. I hate going to crowded places for a vacation or a short trip. Now, I am looking forward to a three to four day break when I will be heading for the cool climes of Darjeeling.
