The Greek association of professional footballers released a statement condemning a racist attack by fans against Aegaleo player Kofi Amponsah. The 27-year-old Ghanaian defender was the victim of racist remarks from fans of his own team in their 1-0 home victory over Iraklis in a Greek first division match on Sunday. 'Such incidents are not only saddening, but at the same time cause special concern,' the association said in a statement on Monday
