Participants include Bratati Bandyopadhyay, Kalyan Sen Barat, Sraboni Sen, and artistes of Calcutta Choir, Shinjan, Music 2000 and Indra Sabha Ballet Troupe. Also, musical play Chitrangada. March 30 at Kala Kunj; 5.30 pm: Sadhana presents Tagore songs by Sushmita Bhattacharya and Sreekanta Acharya, and Haimanti Shukla in Raagsangeet O Rabindrasangeet Samanwaye. ANNIVERSARY

Today: The Jolly Vagabonds (1913, 4 min.), The New Desk (1914, 8 min.), Karl Valentin and Liesl Karlstadt at the Oktoberfest (1922, 24 min.), The Mysteries of a Haidresser?s Shop (1923, 10 min.) and The Eccentric (1929, 90 min.).

BOOK LAUNCH

March 29 at Genesis Art Gallery, 8B Middleton Street; 5 pm: A book on Two Decades of Service and a film made by BBC representative Mike Donkin and Piyashi Roy Choudhury will be released. Also, an exhibition of craft itrems made by the beneficiaries (children and destitute women) along with an interactive session with the children. April 1 at British Council, 16 Camac Street; 7 pm: Tarun Tejpal will be in conversatioin with Moon Moon Sen at the launch of Alchemy of Desire (Harper Collins).

EXHIBITION

Till March 30 at Artisana, 13 Chowringhee Terrace (1st floor), off Gokhale Road; 10 am - 7.30 pm: Crafts Council of West Bengal presents Kesh Shringar ? an exposition of rare hair ornaments from the collection of Veena Shroff, who demonstrates traditional hair styles from ancient sculptures and paintings. Till March 30 at Design, 108 Raja Basanta Roy Road: Paramita Viswanathan?s annual summer exhibition of handloom prints, resist prints, Mangalgiri sarees, crepes, chiffons, silk, tassarprints and Hyderabad sarees.
