Inflation rises to 4.95%
New Delhi, March 11: The rate of inflation rose to 4.95 per cent for the week ended February 26 on the back of costlier fuel products and manufactured items, including edible oils. Although primary articles for mass consumption were cheaper, the point-to-point wholesale price index inflation rose by 0.12 per cent from the previous week's level of 4.83 per cent. The price level was as high as 5.21 per cent in the year-ago period.
