Two bodies found

Jamshedpur, Feb. 28: Two persons were found dead in separate places in the city today.

While a body was found at an isolated place in Kharangajhar under the Telco police station early this morning, the body of a youth was found lying in a house in Daiguttu in Mango in the evening. The deceased was identified as Sohan Prajapati (25). The body bore a mark of gun-shot injury in the middle of the chest. A country-made pistol and a suicide note was found near the body. A little distance away lay an empty cartridge of 0.315 calibre. Superintendent of police Sanjay Anand Lathkar said it was likely to be a case of suicide but did not rule out the possibility of murder. Inspector of Mango police station said the suicide note suggests that the youth was extremely depressed by family problems. The police have sent the body to the MGM Medical College mortuary for a post-mortem.

The body of a 25-year-old youth recovered from Kharangajhar in Telco this morning was later identified as that of one Gurbachan Singh. It bore marks of deep sharp-cut wounds in the neck and other parts of the body. A resident of Golmuri, he was missing for the last three days.
