Calcutta: Aperitivo and Formal Invitation, who have left for Chennai, from Mumbai, are two of the four RCTC challengers for the 2,400m Indian Turf Invitation Cup at the Chennai races on March 6. The following horses have been nominated by the turf club for the two-day racing programme beginning from March 5:

The Indian Turf Invitation Cup 2,400m (Terms, 4-year-old only): Aperitivo, Formal Invitation, Star Angel and Exclusive Affair.

The Hindu Sprinters' Cup 1,200m (Terms, 4-year-olds and over): Star Magic, Gypsy King, Bold Raider and Evangeline.

The Poonawalla Farms Stayers Cup 3,000m (Terms, 4-year-olds and over): Aperitivo, Formal Invitation, Star Angel, Anzello. Reserve: Allodium. Maj. P.K.Mehra Memorial Super Mile 1,600m (Terms, 4-year-olds and over): Allodium, Calorific, Alask-an and Moon Emperor. Reserve: Star Angel and Star Magic.

The SAK Japan Trophy 1,400m (Three-year-olds only) Retai-ned Asset, Aleksei, Pure Valour, Sanskara. Reserve: Romantic Liaison and Regal Empress.
