Of late, the media has developed a tendency to exaggerate
any feat. Sania?s achievement does not deserve so much hype.
It can doom her future chances.

I think that the media hype over Sania Mirza is justified.
If cricketers can be heaped with so much adulation, why
not Sania Mirza?

No, I do not think it is justified. She has proved her
nerve by playing against Serena Williams, but she is only
18 and too much media glare can work against her concentration.
It will also put her under pressure and that might make
her game suffer.

Yes. Her feat at the Australian Open has gripped the
imagination of an otherwise cricket-crazy nation. Playing
her first Grand Slam as a wildcard, Sania Mirza has done
us proud. The media hype around her is understandable and
she definitley deserves it.

No. the headlines may boost her, but what if they carry
her away? Let her achieve a little more before she is treated
to this kind of hype. The media should praise her and not
pamper her.
