Jimi Plays Berkeley

(Landmark, Rs 600) l Derived from a pair of concerts at the Berkeley (California) Community Theater on May 30, 1970, the film includes stunning Jimi Hendrix performances of favourites like Purple Haze, Machine Gun, Voodoo Child (Slight Return), and the artiste's take on Chuck Berry's Johnny B. Goode. Bonus audio tracks include Hey Joe, Foxey Lady and more.

Perchance to Dream

(GD Birla Sabhagar, 6.30 pm, February 13 and 14) l Prithvi Theatre Festival presents the play by Footsbarn, a travelling theatre group based in France. The production is a melange of Shakespeare plays, comprising scenes from King Lear, Hamlet, Macbeth, Romeo and Juliet and others.

Wildlife

(Nandan ) l The state forest department in association with the NGO Aranyak has organised a Wildlife Film Festival, which will end on Sunday. Public screenings will be held from 2 pm to 8 pm at Nandan I, II, III and at Sisir Mancha.
