Calcutta: Mahindra United have decided to adopt four schools in their bid to develop soccer in and around Mumbai.
?We have shortlisted eight schools from which four will be selected,? Mahindra manager Henry Menzes said on the sidelines of the team?s practice at the Salt Lake Stadium on Monday.
?Talented players will be picked from the programme and put in the under-12, under-14 and under-16 age-group Mahindra teams,? explained Menzes.
Meanwhile, Indian Player of the Year S. Venkatesh of is keen to go to Japan for trials. ?I have got a few offers from Japan and Singapore clubs and I am planning to appear for trials next season,? said the Mahindra medio.
