IFA bar on foreigners
The IFA will not allow foreign players in any club other than the Premier division from next season, it was decided at the governing body meeting on Thursday. ?We will not allow foreigners in the lower divisions as this has been affecting the game in the state,? IFA secretary Subrata Dutta said.
Dutta said the Kishore Bharati Stadium will be used by the IFA for the junior footballers. ?We will also form a goalkeeper?s academy there with the help of actor Mithun Chakraborty, who has assured financial help,? he stated.
