EXHIBITION

Till November 28 at Fabindia, 16 Hindustan Park; 10 am - 8 pm: Fabindia design studio presents its first range of premium garments, Adhya. The collection uses various surface design techniques like machine quilting/ stitches and sujni hand embroidery from Bihar?s folk tradition of quilting.

November 27 at Jibanananda Sabhaghar; 1 pm - 9 pm: Adda Shanibar presents a cultural programme, Galpe-Kabye Ekti Din. The first half brings readers face-to-face with their favourite authors. The second session will kickoff with the launch of Bhorer Chhoya, a collection of stories by Rita Basu. Also, a poetry-reading session with well-known poets. November 28 at Uttam Mancha; 10 am: In aid of children suffering from thallesaemia and cancer, Bhalobasha presents a solo recital by Nachiketa. November 28 at Birla Academy; 5 pm: Swar-Ganga presents an evening of classical music in memory of Pandit A. Kanan and Pandit Mahadev Prasad Mishra. Participants include Purnima Chaudhury (vocal) with Ananda Gopal Bandyopadhyay (tabla) and Debaprasad Dey (harmonium); and Mita Nag (sitar) with Saumen Sarkar (tabla). November 28 at Rangamancha, Bharatiyam, IB 201 Salt Lake; 6.30 pm: An evening of Kathak by Padatik Dance Centre.
