Calcutta Nov. 19: The CPM today launched a campaign against the United Progressive Alliance government at the Centre, which it supports.

Chief minister Buddhadeb Bhattacharjee called for a ?vigorous movement? against the Manmohan Singh government and said: ?They cannot take our support for granted.? He was speaking at a meeting called by the CPM?s north Calcutta zonal committee to protest against the hike in prices of petroleum products.

Party officials said the campaign would continue across the state till November 27.

State party secretary Anil Biswas added that the course of action would be determined after assessing the impact of this campaign.
