Calcutta: Ajay Shirke was elected the president of the Maharashtra Cricket Association (MCA) at the managing committee meeting on Monday, according to information reaching here.

The meeting was held in the presence of B. G. Deshmukh and M. N. Singh, observers.

Twenty three out of the 25 members of the managing committee attended.
