New Delhi, Oct. 31: The government today named Air Marshal S.P. Tyagi, the chief of the Western Air Command, the next chief of the Indian Air Force, reports our special correspondent.

Tyagi ? the seniormost of the regional commanders ? will take over as Air Chief Marshal on December 31 from S. Krishnaswami.
