Kalimpong, Oct. 17: The GNLF(C) has announced a reward for anyone providing information on the wherabouts of the three assailants who killed C.K. Pradhan.

The announcement was made at Dambar Chowk yesterday where a public meeting was held to mark the second anniversary of the party?s formation.

The daylight murder of the GNLF leader on October 3, 2003, had led to a split in the party with CK loyalists forming the GNLF(C).

?Three men ? Niray Gurung, Daya Rai and Kumar Subba ? were involved in the murder of C.K. Pradhan. All of them were present at the spot when he was shot down. We appeal to them to surrender and give the police infor- mation about the people who plotted the murder of CK,? said D.K. Pradhan, the GNLF(C) chief convener and elder brother of C.K. Pradhan.

According to the GNLF(C) leaders, the trio was present on the day the GNLF leader was gunned down in the heart of the town. ?One of them shot him point blank the other two were his accomplices,? said Pradhan.

?If anyone can give us information on these three people, we shall suitably reward him. We also promise not to disclose the name and address of the person who will provide the information,? he said.

?The three men have been missing ever since C.K. Pradhan was murdered,? D.K Pradhan added.

The police had earlier arrested Chandra Kumar Pradhan and S. Lepcha in connection with the murder.
