KHO-KHO MEET

Guwahati, Oct. 17: West Bengal won two titles in the 13th east zone kho-kho meet at Sports Authority of India?s New Field complex today.

In the finals, the Bengal men?s team thrashed Manipur by an innings and 12-11 points. The women?s squad beat the same opponents, Manipur, 9-7 to retain the title they won in Dhanbad last year.

Hosts Assam went down to Jharkhand 18-16 in the men?s third place playoff, while the women managed to claim the third place with a thumping innings and 13 points victory over Tripura. In the semifinals, the women?s team lost to Manipur by an innings and one point.
