Mobile menace irks Spacey

London, Sept. 21 (Reuters): Hollywood star Kevin Spacey has lost his patience with British theatre audiences ? it's time to turn off the mobile phones and stop rustling candy wrappers.

?It?s a phone-free zone,? the Oscar-winning actor said of the Old Vic, the venerable London theatre where he is artistic director.

?My feeling is, if people don?t know how to behave they shouldn?t come,? Spacey told BBC Radio.

?You have to respect the fact that there is some degree of behaviour that we expect in the theatre.?

He was also enraged by ?people opening candy bars thinking if they open it slowly it will be less annoying than if they open it fast.?
