Mumbai, Sept. 19 (PTI): The Nationalist Congress Party today announced its first list of candidates for the October 13 Maharashtra polls, with the former deputy chief minister, Chhagan Bhujbal, and most sitting MLAs figuring in it.
Bhujbal ? one of the 104 candidates on the list ? has been nominated from Yevla constituency while his son Pankaj will contest from Mazgaon in Mumbai, considered his father?s citadel.
Deputy chief minister Vijaysinh-Mohite Patil, state party chief R.R. Patil, NCP president Sharad Pawar?s nephew Ajit and former minister Dilip Walse-Patil also figured in the list.
Most of the ministers in the Democratic Front government have been renominated.
