The sequel to Satyajit Ray’s Aranyer Din Ratri had an impressive cast of Soumitra Chatterjee, Samit Bhanja, Subhendu Chatterjee, Sharmila Tagore, Tabu, Jishu and more.

Catch it at 89 Cinemas, 6.45 pm Success story The flashback to Ray and a fast-forward in time lent a magical quality to the story unfolding in the forests of north Bengal. Goutam Ghose bagged the national award for best director and Sharmila Tagore was best supporting actress.

This passion play involving two men and two women is a lavish period piece based on a Rabindranath Tagore novel. The complexities of the relationships become symptomatic of the Partition of Bengal at that point of time in history.
