United Nations, Aug. 21 (PTI): Director Revathi Menon’s new film Phir Milenge has come in for high praise from the United Nations for its attempt to break the stigma surrounding AIDS.

The film has Shilpa Shetty portraying a successful woman who suddenly learns she is HIV-positive. It also stars Salman Khan and Abhishek Bachchan.

“When Bollywood, one of the world’s largest film industries with massive audiences, produces a film about AIDS, everyone has to sit up and take notice,” said the executive director of the joint UN programme on HIV/AIDS, Peter Piot.
