| Stay Natural: Halle Berry |

| No plastic: Sharon Stone |
London, Aug. 3: Two of Hollywood’s most glamourous actresses said the industry’s fixation with beauty and age was “insane” and they would never have cosmetic surgery to look younger.
Halle Berry and Sharon Stone were speaking before the British premiere of the film Catwoman, about how Hollywood actresses face pressure to look youthful.
The film is based around the cosmetics industry, with Stone playing a former supermodel obsessed with developing creams to halt the ageing process. Berry stars as Catwoman, a former cosmetics factory worker.
Former Bond girl Berry, 37, said: “There is this plastic, copycat look evolving and that’s frightening to me. It’s really insane.”
Last year alone, according to the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, 1.8 million cosmetic operations were performed in the US. There were an additional 6.4 million nonsurgical procedures like skin resurfacing or Botox injections. In fact, liposuction and Botox have changed cosmetic surgery, moving it away from the knife.
Stone, 46, said she was offered fewer parts after 40, but it had not tempted her to go under the knife. “I’m not big on plastic surgery.”
