Zara hurt in fall from horse

London, July 31: Zara Phillips, the Queen’s granddaughter, was knocked unconscious yesterday when she fell from her horse during an international competition.

Phillips, 23, who is 11th in line to the throne, was taken to hospital as a precautionary measure then driven home by her mother, the Princess Royal.

Buckingham Palace said that doctors at Dorset County Hospital in Dorchester gave Phillips the all-clear after X-rays confirmed that no bones had been broken.

The accident occurred when Phillips lost control while riding a cross-country course at horse trials in Lulworth, Dorset.
