Hyderabad, July 29: Warangal police have registered a case against the People’s War Group emissaries for peace talks with the government after they addressed yesterday the first public meeting of the extremists since the relaxation of the ban on the Naxalite outfit.
Vara Vara Rao, Gaddar and G. Kalyan Rao have been accused of conspiracy and making provocative speeches in the suo motu complaint filed at Intezargunj police station this evening.
Vara Vara Rao, the prime accused, apparently warned that the PWG would not spare former chief minister . Chandrababu Naidu wherever he goes into hiding.
“A similar fate will follow the chief minister, Y.S. Rajasekhar Reddy, if he too walks in Naidu’s footsteps,” he is reported to have said.
The police have also taken objection to the emissaries castigating Warangal superintendent of police Srinivas Reddy and other officials for “lack of proper arrangements” for yesterday’s meeting.
Reddy said arrest warrants have not been issued against the three, nor has anyone been detained so far.
