Fun park lines up go-karts, joyrides

Ranchi, July 18: Chief minister Arjun Munda will formally inaugurate the Chhotanagpur Fun Castle at Ratu, on July 20.

The fun park at Ratu, situated 10 km from the capital, promises a lot of excitement and thrill for the people of Ranchi and nearby areas.

The Fun Castle, built to the tune of Rs 3 crore, is spread across 80 acres.

At a news conference, Nitesh Nath Shadev, the director of Fun Castle, said the park has got something for everyone.

“Everyone will enjoy the Fun Castle. People can have a great time on the “caterpillar, Baby Train, go-kart junior, Jumping bag, Sky Train, Dragon Coaster Video Game pool, boating and many other rides” said Shadev.

“The park also has six Striking Cars, go-karting for seniors, a 52-ft slide and a 52-ft high sky train,” he added.

Nitesh said the sky train is the third in the country. “The visitors can also enjoy boating,” he added. “Life jackets would also be provided to the clients for safety,” Nitesh said.

The entry fee is Rs 10 rates differing for each ride. There would be a special package for schools and other educational institutions.

Nitish added that a fountain will greet them as they enter through Fun Castle main gate. “The fountain will present an amazing sight during the evening with the colourful lights installed to create a grand effect,” he said.

The organisers said they would also hold car races on special occasions.

There is also a Dragon Coaster in the park. Nitish added that the Video Parlour would have several video games lined up for children.

On boating, Nitish said scooter boats have been introduced for the first time in Jharkhand.
