New Delhi: Indian women defeated England to claim the bronze medal in the 16th Commonwealth table tennis championship in Kuala Lumpur on Thursday.

In the men’s section, the four-member team led by Sharath Kamal advanced to the finals where they will meet England, according to a press release from the Table Tennis Federation of India.

The five-member women’s team led by Poulami Ghatak beat England 3-0. Individual events will start from Friday.
