New Delhi: Indian archers clinched seven medals, including four golds, in the second Asian junior Grand Prix in Kuala Lumpur.
All the four golds came in the team events while the other three medals — two silvers and a bronze — were won in individual categories of the 14-nation competition that concluded on Monday, an Archery Association of India release said on Thursday.
Sumangala, Luxmirani Majhi, Sushma and Ranu combined to fetch the gold for India.
In the boys’ section, Jayant Talukdar, Rahul Banerjee, Bulbul Marandi and Prabhat Kandir finished first with 1870 points.
The Indian archers also won gold in the team elimination rounds for both boys and girls, the release added.
