Hyderabad, May 20 (PTI): Telugu Desam Party chief . Chandrababu Naidu today hailed Manmohan Singh’s nomination as Prime Minister and said he hoped that reforms in various sectors would continue under his leadership.

The economic reforms that were initiated by Manmohan would yield better results now under his leadership, the former Andhra Pradesh chief minister told reporters here.

When asked about Sonia Gandhi’s earlier candidature for the prime ministership, Naidu said his party was against any person of foreign origin occupying the country’s top posts. This view, he added, was carried in the Desam’s manifesto. However, our prime concern now is the country’s progress, he said.
