Soccer meet

The Telegraph Merchants’ Cup Football Tournament 2004, organised by CC&FC, on the club grounds, at 7 pm.

Workshops

A three-day workshop for schoolchildren and an exhibition on ‘Mother Earth’ at Kidz Konclave, at 2/1A, Keyatala Road, from 4 pm to 6 pm. Story-reading sessions will be followed by workshops for kids at Jyotirmai Library, on Garcha Road, 10.30 am onwards.

In camera

Dialogue with Nature, a photo exhibition by Daisaku Ikeda, president of Soka Gakkai International, will be opened at Academy of Fine Arts, at 5 pm.

Theatre

Rangroop’s Khunje Nao, directed by Swatilekha Sengupta, will be staged at Madhusudan Mancha, at 6.30 pm. A theatre workshop by The Infinity Company at Baisakhi Apartments, on Deodhar Rahman Road, Lake Gardens, from 8 am.

Art beat

Summer Show, an all-India exhibition of paintings and sculptures, at CIMA Gallery, 2 to 7 pm. An inaugural exhibition of decorative posters at Arts & Ideas Designshop, Shop 213, Swabhumi, from noon to 8.30 pm. An exhibition of works by eminent painters at names-AN.art on Rashbehari Avenue, 11 am to 8 pm.
