Polaris revenue at Rs 646 cr
Polaris Software has registered a revenue of Rs 646.42 crore for the year ended March 31, 2004 against Rs 428.28 crore in the previous year. The profit after tax for the same period stood at Rs 72.20 crore compared with Rs 68.77 crore in the previous year, a company release said.

Avesthagen
Avestha Gengraine Technologies Ltd and Cipla have joined hands for a joint biopharmaceuticals development programme to release a new generation of targeted therapies. Under the agreement, bioinformatics company Avesthagen will focus on research and product development through clinical trials and Cipla will engage in scale-up, marketing and distribution, Avesthagen said.
Micro Inks
Micro Inks Limited, a leading ink company, has reported a 20 per cent growth in consolidated revenue at Rs 830.30 crore for the year ended March 31, 2004 compared with Rs 691.08 crore in the previous year. Net profit stood at Rs 25.98 crore against a net loss of Rs 18.76 crore in the previous year. The board has recommended a dividend of Rs 6 per share for the year against Rs 4 per share in 2002-03.
Tata AIG profit
Tata AIG General Insurance Company Ltd has posted a maiden profit of Rs 15.3 crore and a 47 per cent increase in its premium income at Rs 353 crore in 2003-04. As many as 2,82,499 policies were issued and 48,882 claims amounting to Rs 113 crore were settled in 2003-04, the company said in a release.
Diebold order
Diebold Systems Private Ltd, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Diebold Incorporated, has bagged a contract to supply ATMs and services to UTI Bank. The order for a minimum of 600 ATMs includes turnkey auxiliary services, such as site preparation, ATM managed services and ATM upgrades on a contract basis.
J&K Bank
Jammu and Kashmir (J&K) Bank and Bajaj Tempo Ltd have signed an agreement, under which the latter has nominated the bank as its preferred financier for the purchase of three and four wheelers manufactured by Bajaj.
