When art lovers are introduced to a new destination with an unusual name, it is only obvious that expectations will soar. names-An.art does not disappoint. The brainchild of curator Meghna Agarwal, names-AN.art is a gallery that is aimed at bridging the gap between art and its connoisseurs. It is an honest effort to break free of the intimidating ambience of an art gallery, an attempt to bring art works of eminent artists within the reach of the masses who appreciate the masterstrokes but fall short of being proud owners of such artistic creations. In its maiden venture, names-AN.art features the works of Shuvaprasanna, Ramananda Bandopadhyay, Prakash Karmakar, Wasim Kapoor and Subrata Gangopadhyay, whose Pallavi features above, among other contemporary artists.
