Weather watch

Finally, some respite in sight. The weatherman says Monday’s cloudy sky and light drizzle, that took a scorched city by pleasant surprise, were caused by a four-pronged factor — two low-pressure trough lines and a couple of cyclonic upper-air circulations. And there’s something more to smile about. “We expect some more rain and possibly a Nor’wester or two during the next 48 hours,” said an official from Alipore Met Office.

Screenings

Andrei Rublyov, directed by Andrei Tarkovsky, will be screened as part of the Cinema in Celebration of Life at Gorky Sadan, at 6 pm.

Theatre

Bengali jatra, Baje Shahnai, Jolchhe Chita, will be staged by Anandamayee Samiti of Bolpur at Bharatiyam, at 6.30 pm.

Talk
