SAI win big

SAI routed BNR 4-0 in a BHA League group A match. Santosh Rajbhar scored twice while B. Surin and Sanjay Lakra got one apiece. In other group A matches, CESC beat Muslim Institute 2-1, while CCFC and BSF North Bengal played out a 1-1 draw. Anil Ekka and T. Kundu scored for CESC and Gulam Rammani managed one for Muslim Institute.

Elliot Shield

Netaji Nagar College (Day) thrashed Rabindra Bharti (Arts) by 5-0 in a Duckback Elliot Challenge Shield match. Sumit Mondal and Subhojit Dey scored a brace each while Rajdeep Sarkar hit another for the winners.

State volleyball

Chhatra Samity notched up a comfortable 25-21, 25-18, 25-19 win over Naihati AC in the state first volleyball league match.

Golf meet

The team of Akshay Buta and Divayanshu Bajaj was leading in Division I of the RCGC Cup after first day’s action at RCGC. They were followed by Sandip Ghosh and Sunil Osatwal. In Division II, S.S. Das and Sudip Goswami were in lead, followed by N.P. Singh and Surjit Singh.
