Rawalpindi: Three-time champions India open their engagements in the SAF Games football against holders Bangladesh on Sunday. India and Bangladesh are in Pool A which also features hosts Pakistan and Afghanistan while Pool B comprises Nepal, Bhutan and Sri Lanka.

Meanwhile, I. M. Vijayan opened a sports goods manufacturing company at Chalakkudy in Thrissur on Saturday.

The factory — Boxer Sports Goods Company Pvt Ltd — will produce “quality football and other sports goods and accessories at an economical rate,” Vijayan, the chairman of the company, said.Vijayan also informed he will continue for three to four years in club football. He ruled out any chances of return to international football.
