Chennai, Jan. 22 (PTI): A special court here will deliver tomorrow the verdict in the Spic divestment case in which chief minister Jayalalithaa and two others are accused.
Jayalalithaa, industrialist A.C. Muthiah and former industry secretary C. Ramachandran have been charged with causing the state a loss of Rs 28.29 crore and conspiring to enable industrialist M.A. Chidambaram assume the chairmanship of Southern Petrochemical Industries Corporation.
The date for the verdict was announced by special judge R. Rajamanickam who had adjourned the case for today after the Supreme Court vacated its order staying the trial court from pronouncing its judgment.
