All roads off Red Road from 6 am to 9 am for Republic Day parade practice.

Lecture

Lord Justice Robin Auld will deliver The Sarkar Lecture on The Criminal Justice System: The UK Experience, at the British Council, at 6 pm.

Anniversary

The 40th anniversary of Assembly of God Church School at Netaji Indoor Stadium, from 10 am, and a dinner cruise on the Hooghly from 5 pm. Presidency College founder's day meeting will be held at Derozio Hall from 11.45 am.

The crafts

A festival of the crafts of Bengal, with an exhibition on the Charukala Bhavan campus, 11 am to 4 pm, nd cultural functions on the Nandan-Rabindra Sadan campus from 5 pm.

Yuba Natya Utsav 2004 presents Charaibeti, at Sisir Mancha, 6.30 pm.

Weaving Spells & Spinning Dreams: A display of silk, at Sasha, 11 am. An All-India Photographic Exhibition at the Academy of Fine Arts, to be inaugurated at 5.30 pm.

An exhibition of graphics and paintings by Arun Bose, at CIMA Gallery, from 2 pm to 7 pm. An exhibition of recent works by Ram Kumar at Galerie 88, 3 pm to 7 pm.
