New Delhi, Jan. 15: Bajaj Auto today said that it will record its highest ever motorcycle sales of over 1-million units in 2003-04. The company will launch four two-wheeler models this year.
Joint MD Rajiv Bajaj said: “The total two and three-wheeler sales will touch 1.5 million units for year ending March 31, 2004. We also expect an over 50 per cent growth in exports to about 1.6 lakh units this fiscal.”
He added, “Last fiscal, we exported 94,000 vehicles. During April-December 2003, we have already sold close to 1.1 lakh units. By the year-end, we should sell 1.5-1.6 lakh units, a growth of over 50 per cent. Next fiscal, it will be over 2 lakh units.”
Unveiling the new logo of Bajaj Auto, Bajaj said that exports of the Byk, Caliber115 and Wind 125 to the Philippines will start under a technical collaboration that becomes operational next month.
