The beauty of using minimal space

After Masters’ Strokes, Vikalp Art Shop has come up with another ‘exclusive’ exhibition of small-sized paintings of Paritosh Sen, Rabin Mondal, Prokash Karmakar and Sanat Kar, titled Small Wonders. These small works are indeed representative of the painters’ inimitable style and the paintings bear striking resemblance with the large canvases of the artists. Veteran artist Paritosh Sen has painted profiles of children and a cuckatoo. Prokash Karmakar has not only painted vivacious women on his canvases, he has also done a series on horses — some in red and some in grey. Robin Mondal’s works are dominated by his famous ‘Queens’ — all done in vibrant colours. Sanat Kar’s paintings have his quintessential female figures interspersed with birds. His vast range of work is praiseworthy indeed. In all 38 small paintings by these eminent painters are a viewer’s delight.

When: Till January 15; 2 pm - 8 pm
