Rupesh to meet Arpit in final

Rupesh Roy set up a title-clash with Arpit Sharma in the under-18 boys’ category of the Mint-O junior tennis tournament at the South Club on Friday. While Rupesh beat Nirvick Mohinta 6-2, 6-0, Arpit downed Akshay Bajoria 6-1,6-3.

Varsity meet

Calcutta University, Ranchi University, Kashi Vidyapith University and Purbanchal University made the semi-finals of the all India inter-university hockey tournament on Friday.

In the quarter finals, Purvanchal University beat Sambalpore University 1-0 while Ranchi University thrashed Varanasi University 4-1.
