Calcutta, Jan. 4: Three people were killed and 30 injured in South 24-Parganas this morning when a Matador van in which they were coming to the Alipore zoo collided with a bus.

The crash occurred at Kulpi, about 70 km from here. The injured, who include women and children, were rushed to the Diamond Harbour Sadar Hospital. Five of them were later shifted to M.R. Bangur Hospital here.

The dead were identified as cousins Samir Baidya, 16, and Laltu Baidya, 18, and Biswanath Pramanick, 55. The driver of the bus could not be traced.
