Petronet float in February

New Delhi, Dec. 29 (PTI): Petronet LNG will float an initial public offering (IPO) of 26.10 crore shares in February.

“We will file the prospectus of the IPO, being executed through the book-building route, this week,” company director (finance) P. Dasgupta said.

DSP Merril Lynch, SBI Caps, J. M. Morgan Stanley, ICICI Securities and Enam are merchant bankers to the public issue, which aims to mop up close to Rs 1000 crore.

The sale of shares, to be listed on BSE and NSE, to will help fund expansion of the Dahej import and regassification terminal — a project that was completed today. A third gas storage tank will be built in 2004.

Indian Oil, BPCL, Gail and ONGC hold 12.5 per cent each of Petronet’s Rs 800-crore capital. Project consultant Gaz de France has snapped up a 10 per cent stake.
