U-16 title for Shivika

Shivika Burman of Bengal won the under-16 girls’ title in the DSCL national tennis championships in New Delhi on Friday. According to information received here, Shivika beat fourth seeded Daksha Malay 4-6, 6-0, 7-6 (7-5) in the final. Earlier, she had accounted for top seed Parija Malo in the semi-finals.

Junior cricket

Sinthee Roy Para Cricket Academy and South Howrah CCC made the semi-finals of the all-Bengal junior meet organised by North Calcutta Cricket Academy.

In the quarter finals on Friday, Sinthee Roy Para beat Naihati XI by four wickets while South Howrah triumphed by six wickets over Durpur CC.
